Dikili is the port for the
ancient mountain citadel of Pergamum where you can visit
Asklepeion, the site where psychiatry was first
practiced. Also see the Sacred Pools, the Altar of Zeus,
the Library, and the Serpent Altar which still serves as
the symbol of the medical profession.
This small seaport serves as the port for the hilltop
city of Pergamon. The outstanding attraction in this
ancient city is the ruins of a once great library.

frequented by cruise liners bringing visitors to Pergamon, is
Bergama's harbor town set in a relaxing atmosphere with many
pleasant restaurants lining the Kordon Promenade.
Drive to Bergama (Pergamum or Pergamon), once a great center of
culture, survives as one of Turkey's finest archeological sites.
In the Acropolis, above the modern town, are the remains of the
celebrated library, a steep and impressive theatre, the temples of
Trajan and Dionysus, the monumental Altar of Zeus, the Sanctuary
of Demeter, a gymnasium laid out on three terraces and the Agora.
TheAsclepion, located to the southwest of the lower city was a
sanctuary dedicated to the god of health: Asclepios.
Drive back to Dikili port for embark to the ship.
