COMMEMORATION PROGRAM
Visitors
arriving for the Dawn Service should carry a torch and follow any
instructions given. The morning can be cold and wet and extra clothing
is necessary. It is recommended that visitors carry food and drink
with them sufficient for the day. There are no fresh water taps
near the site of the Dawn Service. Those arriving the night before
ANZAC Day are advised to keep to the main congregation areas and
to take precautions for their personal safety as the area is undeveloped.
There are temporary toilets installed near the Dawn Service site,
at Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair memorials. There are also toilets at
the Museum at Kabatepe and down the hill from Chunuk Bair.
The
order and time of services of commemoration following the Dawn Service
are as follows:
0900-1000

The
narrow roads linking the various memorials will be congested. A
traffic flow system will be in place on the Gallipoli Peninsula
and motorists and coach drivers will be required to follow the routes
indicated or as advised by Gendarmerie, police or members of the
Armed Forces. Private vehicles will not be permitted past the Kabatepe
Museum, thereby causing private passengers a three-kilometre walk
to reach the ANZAC Commemorative Site.
